Get Your Eco On!

This year the Foundation for Building Sustainable Communities (FBSC) will be hosting a series of three events in Oshawa promoting an ecological based lifestyle. The three events are Earth Week, Earth Day and the Eco Festival.

Earth Week is being held at the Oshawa Centre from April 22 – 28. There will be eight vendors in attendance, a re-purposing competition and prize giveaways. On April 22nd, Earth Day, there will be many exciting things happening at the Legends Centre in the north end. Finally, on September 25th, the Eco Festival will be held at Parkwood Estates Oshawa Centre. You will have the opportunity to talk about local foods with local farmers, there will be films about and focusing on the environment, and of course, wine and cheese will be provided. If you have the time come to one or all of the events and join in the fun, but don’t take my word for it, visit fbsc.org for all the details!
